On today’s episode I will be sitting down with author and teacher Erin Garcia. Erin is on a mission to make the world more inclusive and as the parent of an autistic child she can share misunderstandings and mistakes she encountered to help others navigate these unchartered waters. Erin has a gift of speaking the truth without outraging those who will need to change their beliefs and behaviors. She has written two books including Tiger Livey and her most recent work, The Case of Sensational Stims, which celebrates neurodiversity and shows how to assist those with unique sensory needs.

During this conversation we will be discussing the challenges our public-school systems face when assisting students and parents presented with a diagnosis of autism.
