Quick Ideas for Using our Meet the Musician Videos:

• Foster music appreciation by seeing different musicians at work and learning about different musical styles.
• Give students a real-world perspective on the “nuts and bolts” of being a professional musician.
• Show students the wide variety of ways that music can be a part of their life whether it’s as a vocation or an avocation.
• Inspire music students to think about the music they create and how they might incorporate information and insights from the videos into their own compositions, rehearsals, or performances.
• Have students include insights gained through the videos as part of their projects, papers, and presentations on a music-related subject by:
  • interpreting and/or summarizing what they saw and learned in the video.
  • citing quotations from the expert in the video.
